I need to create a custom poll to show interface numbers, speed, status, etc. but when I create it only shows me the interfaces that are in the list resources. Is this correct? (when I create the poll I see all the interfaces that the node has and its values).

Is there a way to create a view that includes information from different nodes? For example, in the diagram below I want a little info from node A and node B to be placed into one Custom view titled "Connection 1." The information I would place in this view would be:
1) status of both nodes
2) status of the physical interfaces these nodes use to connect to each other
3) the routing protocol
The reason for this is because if any of these are down, the connection between the 2 are down. I have multiple connections like the example below and will eventually place them into a NOC view. If this cannot be done, does anyone have an alternative?
I can say that I am actually very impressed with the new features that have been introduced. The Load balancing, Maps and GUI features are a nice touch.

We monitor the up/down status of PRI's with NPM by monitoring the D channel of the PRI. (Channel 23:Signaling). Beginning with the implementation of Cisco IOS 16.6.3 on routers, we see that that channel has disappeared from being discovered by NPM. We now see only the 24 voice channels. Doing an SNMP walk of the MIB confirmed this.
Have others noticed this? How are others monitoring the up/down status of PRI's using NPM? I was thinking that possibly monitoring channel 23 would accomplish up/down monitoring, but if this is truly only the voice portion of the circuit, it won't work. Appreciate any input others have.

In my environment , we have routers switches firewall and other devices monitoring in Solarwinds . When we take switch , when i see the CPU utilization i am getting 5 to 6 CPu for single cisco 6509 switch.
I need to see as single CPU graph which shows the utilization alone.Kindly assist
Instead of showing 4 CPU i need a single CPU utilization
High CPU utilization is been observed in few cisco switches and that is not allowing to login to those switches and reason due to SNMP
Can i know whether any one faced the same issue and what was the solution for that.
I use a CAC card to log into my machine and when navigating to the web console I am able to bypass the username and password and go directly to the Home Summary page. My account was created as a "Windows individual account." My questions are:
1) What does Solarwinds use to authenticate me? Is it LDAP, secure LDAP, etc?
2) What ports are used in this process?
3) From a security stand point, I don't see any authentication going on with Solarwinds when I close the browser and reopen it and navigate to my web console. Where would I look to see how Solarwinds authenticates me each time I access the web console? Maybe I should ask how exactly does the "Windows individual Account" work regarding logins and authentications?
4) I was informed by my system admin that Solarwinds could issue a token. Does it? How long does this token last before another token is issued? I heard it's application specific.

Okay, so here is a weird question. We have our Orion NPM 12.1 monitoring a couple external websites, polling every minute. The polls work fine for 19 polls, and then the 20th poll (every 20 minutes) the poll fails and reports the website down. The website, is of course not down. We wiresharked the polls, and it seems that the 20th poll is being done using TLS v1.0, where as the other polls use TLS v1.2 -- the v1.2 polls succeed, and the v1.0 polls fails (with good reason since we have disabled TLS 1.0 on the web servers).
Now, I'm not asking about disabling TLS 1.0 using NPM 12.1 since I already read the threads which say it can't be done (read the threads for more info if you are interested in this).
What I am asking about is why would 19 out of 20 polls use TLS v1.2, and then the 20th one use v1.0? This seems very strange to me. Any suggestions? Well-- besides upgrading -- which is in process, but System Architect Murphy has been using his Law to prevent the upgrade.

I have created one and I need to add few details in mail body like below

I was able to retrieve first two variables but not able to get the last one (Destination Host) which is available in Trap Message 'spsActiveAlarmSource.1:= testnode'
any idea how to grep this only value from trap Message and place next to 'Destination Host' later it should be like 'Destination Host : testnode'

I've been troubleshooting some intermittent issues with some of our Orion pollers at different sites and came across something that I think is strange, but I'm not sure if it's how it's wrong. I've noticed that our primary Orion pollers have the Job Engine v1.6.0 and Job Engine v2.11.0 installed. However, on our additional pollers, ONLY v2.11.0 is installed. Is it normal to have both v1 and v2 Job Engines installed on the primary pollers and only v2 on the additional pollers?
Also, is there really still a function of the v1 job engine on the newer versions of Orion products? Does the Job Engine v1 even still need to be installed on these servers, or can it be manually removed?
How many out of the box alert are available in solarwinds which we can configure for NPM, NTM and SAM. Can we export all the list of possible alert from Solarwinds console.
I have to share this list with client to identify alerts which he wants to get configured. Need help
I'm trying to find some clarity on how dependencies should be set up.
We have a few different scenarios where we think a child should have multiple parents. The documentation mention to put multiple parents in a group I'm not clear how that works. If one parent in the group goes down will the child alerts still be suppressed and we'll just get the alert on that parent? Or does the group as a whole since its the parent need to go down?
We turned on auto dependencies and it found the node - node dependencies but we have interfaces where multiple routers aggregate back to that we'd like to a more granular dependency on. I've created a group for the routers that aggregate back to that interface. If there are already node to node dependencies and and I also create an interface to group with the same edge routers will the edge routers alert be suppressed if the core node AND interface goes down? Or is it a core node OR interface behavior? Also for clarity the interface is an interface on that same core node. Or do I need to create a group for the node and interface and use that as the parent?

Unfortunately we don't see the Note option as a good one to do this.

Obviously the new mapping feature is pretty useless, we have multiple sites with these 2 types of switches. What can be done to resolve this?
I am doing basic memory utilization monitoring and alert if over 90% for over 3 hours.
When I test it, it appears to work fine. But over time I will get continues emails with nodes that are still much less then 90%. Weird part is if I run same trigger query in SWIS query page, same node does not show up. At first I though it was because old alert was not acknowledged. Well, they have all been ack'ed now and it is still sending emails. Email alert actually sais that node is using 81% memory. I am using Orion platform 2017.3.2 SP2 and NPM 12.2 and many other modules that are either up to date or one minor version behind.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
