Riverbed Steelhead Reports

I am trying to create WAN Optimization Reports for my Riverbed Steelhead appliances.  I have downloaded and added the reports but I am having trouble figuring out how to add the custom properties needed to run the reports.  I have read the document "Riverbed and SolarWinds WAN Optimization" but it describes how to add the custom properties via the old Custom Property Editor program and not how to add the custom properties by the web interface.  Has anyone used the web interface to create the custom properties needed to run the WAN Optimization Reports?
