I'm finding that as I create the dependencies, they are showing up on the home page in the order I created them. I want to see them displayed in alphabetical order. Does someone know the magic trick to make this happen? SQL is not yet my strong point.

Just started setting up some netpath services between my network endpoints and I noticed this warning for my providers upstream device. I have been getting these all morning and last night. First time ever seeing this. ISP is saying everything is fine, but I noticed a lot of collisions on my Outside interface. I reset the statistics and haven't seen any other issues, but netpath is still showing the upstream device as being in a warning state.
Not sure what the message means and what to look into...

Why does NPM use error/discard count vs. error/discard percent when determining warning or critical states? Since when does the number of discards matter more than the percentage of discards?
I need to configure an alert that triggers on discard percentage over a custom timeframe. Any suggestions?
I am a fairly new SLW admin and i have been tasked with making a very detailed step by step guide to upgrading from NPM 11.5.2 to NPM 12. Along with all of our other solarwinds products to their most current versions(listed below). I was wondering if anyone that had maybe upgraded with the beta had some screenshots or any detailed guides they could share with me seeing that this will be my first upgrade ever, and I really dont have any prior knowledge of SLW upgrades to go off of?

I no longer need resolution to the problem but an explanation as to how this fixed my problem.
So this is very strange. I was having the same error message on some of my routers and switches that this user was having:
The issue that this little gray spec was telling me that I was not getting hardware stats AND my backups were failing on any nodes that have the little gray spec.... I just happened to accidentally stumble upon an odd workaround and I can't explain how I fixed backups by unchecking one little box under "list resources".
So here is the mysterious gray spec on the status indicator.
go check it out and you'll see you have hardware polling failure.
if you look further you may even notice your last couple of backups didn't run. We run backups every twice a week so the last 2 backups for this node failed.
You'll never guess what fixed this.... Here it is and I don't understand. Hoping someone can explain ....
go to node and List resources.
Just UNCHECK that box and hit update
Now suddenly it's polling again AND I can get backups through NCM....wait huh? How?

I have created some reports to be run, and they are not exporting their data as expected.
They do seem to be running, so I would like to know where to find the log file for this particular part of NPM.
(Actually, it would be even greater if there were a comprehensive list of where each component writes its log file. Sometimes it can be a chore finding the appropriate log file to read, because there are so very many in multiple locations.

I have a customer whom has some MPLS connections, actually many.
The interfaces that connect to the MPLS Cloud connect to devices that I cannot monitor/manage in Solarwinds. Because of this I cannot
use ConnectNOw to draw connection lines on maps from our routers to an upstream router.
When I draw a manual line, it shows up as a dashed red line in the maps produced by Network Atlas which we see in the Orion Web Console.
How can I draw a meaningful connection line which shows utilization percentage based on color like when I use ConnectNow from devices that we own?

I want to upgrade a system from NPM 11.0.1 to 11.5.3 and SAM from 6.0.2 to 6.2.3
The upgrade advisor at https://customerportal.solarwinds.com/support/product-upgrade-advisor#/#result-start2 says to upgrade SQL first and lists versions up to 2012 SP1 then upgrade SAM to 6.1.1, NPM to 11.5.3 and SAM again to 6.2.3. It has a box for what version of SQL you are coming from but not which version you're going to. The only newer SQL server currently configured here is 2014.

I also saw a similar thread re: 11.0.1 and moving from SQL Server 2005 to 2014 but it's unanswered.

I am trying to utilize agents to communicate to my APE. But when I change polling engines from inside the Manage Agents settings. I get the below error. Hoping someone can provide me with a solution.
There was no response from the Agent Management Control Service located at "Name:17777".

I have an historical chart showing utilization for two WAN circuits. One is 300 meg, the other is 100. These bandwidths are shown correctly on the Edit Properties for each interface. We have noticed that anytime the utilization maxes out, the graph line goes to baseline, i.e bottoms out.
Any ideas on the cause? Thanks.

Im having trouble getting Solarwinds to email me reports. Im trying to get NPM 10.6.1 to email me of remaining disk space of our servers. When the report is ran I get this :

I could display all alerts, including the acknowledge/cleared ones, by checking "Show acknowledged alert" but can't seem to find the appropriate way to do the above customization. Could somebody help? Thank you very much in advance...

I facing the same problem with alerts. alerts from stale data when NPM server is rebooting after being down for a while. We can find alerts condition is in event details but in the "All active alerts" window have blank screen in the Home window under all active alerts is also blank.
