Can an NPM interface status alert be created based on NPM's discovery of topology?

When a Cisco Distribution switch attaches to Access switches or Core switches via a port-channel with at least two interfaces, I manually monitor and Alert on status of both ports on the Distribution switch AND both ports on the Access switch.

To do this I've created an Alert I call "Critical Interfaces".  Adding interfaces to this Alert is tedious and manual, involving scrolling through EVERY switch's monitored interfaces, then manually checking only the interfaces that are uplinks or downlinks.

Is there any way for NPM to discover / select these "topological" interfaces so they can be more easily added to this custom alert?
