Is it possible to set certain nodes eg. those in a test environment not to alert and appear in nodes with problems window

I ask because I have a node in my test environment which has a status of down but is not appearing in my nodes with problems page on web console. I reckon this might be something my predeccessor has set up but I am not aware of how he has done it?
